User-Installed Software
CSE Labs will be phasing out using group policy user-installed packages. Starting this fall, we will be moving to a new deployment tool called Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager). This tool will give us greater flexibility in deploying software to the labs. As these software packages start coming online at the start of fall semester, they will be listed here.
Installation Procedure
Here are the steps you need to follow to install SCCM advertised software packages:
-
Go to Start → Control Panel → Run Advertised Programs.
-
At this point you will see a list of software that you can install yourself.
-
Choose the software, right click, and select “Install”.
-
You will be prompted when the software has successfully installed.
